The ECSU Foundation is holding its annual Golf Classic on April 26 at The Pines of Elizabeth City. The event is a fundraiser for scholarships to support students at ECSU. Tee off for the golf teams begins at 9 a.m. Saturday. Four-man/woman teams can still register and participate, for an $800 fee. There are three levels at which donors can sponsor a team and fund a scholarship. An individual donor or several donors can combine their money to contribute at the following levels: The presenting sponsorship for $25,000 The Ph. D. sponsorship for $10,000 The Bachelor’s sponsorship for $2,500 There are three different scholarship categories donors can contribute to: The ECSU Foundation Scholarship fund, a general scholarship fund. The Golf Divas Fund which benefits members of the ECSU team. The merchandise/gift certificate option, which allows donors to give merchandise or gift certificates that will be used as raffle items. Donations to the ECSU Foundation are tax deductible. Payments can be made by check, VISA, or Mastercard. Checks should be made payable to the ECSU Foundation. The awards ceremony and reception will take place immediately after the game.
