Participants improve their skills at business workshops

Michael Twiddy, the assistant regional director for the local Small Business and Technology Development Center, will teach a workshop, "How to Sustain Your Business in a Weak Economy," at 6 p.m. on May 8 at the College of the Albemarle’s Small Business Center, John W. Foreman Building, Room 121 A. The workshop is one of three workshops held to help business professionals improve their skills. Entrepreneurs are also encouraged to attend. Four community organizations are partnering to offer three workshops for area businesses and employees: The College of the Albemarle Elizabeth City Downtown Incorporated (ECDI) Downtown Business & Professionals Association (DBPA) and The Elizabeth City Chamber of Commerce. This series of workshops, Partnering for Knowledge, allows participants to attend one or all three sessions.
