Exhibit spotlights domestic violence victims on October 8

The Women’s Safety Initiative at Elizabeth City State University will hold an exhibit 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on October 8, 2008 in the multipurpose room of the Ridley Student Center. "An Empty Place at the Table" exhibit honors known North Carolina victims of domestic violence-related homicides during 2007. The exhibit comprises victims’ place settings and information about the homicides. The exhibit is designed to raise awareness about domestic violence and its impact, and ensure the deaths are not forgotten. The exhibit is part of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month Activities at ECSU. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the ECSU Center for Nonviolence, 335-3107.
