ECSU Volleyball team extends win streak to nine games

The Elizabeth City State University Volleyball team won their ninth consecutive match with a three set sweep of Bowie State University (25-17, 25-17, 25-18) Saturday afternoon at the RL Vaughan Center. Chelsea Amick and Eva Johnson led the way for ECSU with 17 and 11 kills, respectively. Samarri Griffin added 8 kill against no errors as the Lady Vikings tallied 50 total kills versus 14 errors as a team. The Lady Bulldogs had 31 kills against 21 errors with Tamira Conner-Rodgers leading BSU (8-6, CIAA 5-3) with 12 kills. With the victory the Lady Vikings remain undefeated in the CIAA and sit atop the CIAA Eastern Division with a 3-0 mark. They will complete their first round with the Eastern Division opponents when they host Virginia State University on Tuesday at the RL Vaughan Center.
