WRVS-FM 89.9 host is Female Announcer of the Year

Sheila Lee, host of &quotMorning Joy&quot on WRVS-FM, 89.9 won the North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild Prestige Award. Mrs. Lee, who also serves as the Gospel Media Director for WRVS-FM &amp W18BB-TV, was one of four nominees in the state competing in the category Female Announcer of the Year. Lee has served the radio station for 10 years. &quotI am so excited and grateful for the award. I thank God for the opportunity to receive the award. I love being a servant of the community, a servant for our listeners,&quot Lee said. Each year the North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild (NCGAG) recognizes gospel announcers, songwriters, media and various categories in the music ministry at their annual Convention. This year’s 11th Annual Convention is held from May 27 – 30 at the Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, North Carolina. The 2009 Prestige Award Banquet, which was the kick-off event, was held Wednesday evening.
