Social work students inducted into Phi Alpha

Ten students at Elizabeth City State University were recently inducted into honor society for social work majors, Phi Alpha, the Pi Psi Chapter: Elizabeth A. Casey, a junior from Elizabeth City, N.C. Jasmine D. Harvey, junior from Elizabeth City, N.C. Jennifer L. Cope, a junior from Barco, N.C. Tashay N. Daise, a senior from Hubert, N.C. Anitra M. Hill, a junior from Elizabeth City, N.C. Quarda C. Fobbs, a junior from Rocky Mount, N.C. Marsheia S. Frazier, a senior from Greenville, N.C. Joan Tant, a junior from Currituck, N.C. Teresa L. Taylor, a junior from Hertford, N.C. Kimberly Robinson, a junior , Weldon, N.C. is absent from the photo. The Phi Alpha Honor Society-Pi Psi Chapter, begin at ECSU in February of 2010. This Honor Society is dedicated to excellence in scholarship, high professional standards, promotes humanitarian goals and ideals at the university and in the community. Inductees must meet the following standards: must have been admitted into the social work program must be a student majoring in social work must have completed nine hours of social work courses and met requirements for admission into the Social Work Program must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 to 3.25 grade point average in social work courses. Faculty advisors for this honor society are Tommy Cox and Dr. Deborah Riddick.
