For the fourth consecutive year, Washington Monthly has ranked Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) #1 in the Best Baccalaureate Colleges category of the 2015 Washington Monthly College Rankings.
Editors rate schools based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research, and service.
Chancellor Stacey Franklin Jones said, “We are truly excited to once again be ranked first in the Best Baccalaureate Colleges category by Washington Monthly. This not only speaks to our standing as the most affordable academic success university in North Carolina, but solidifies our ‘best value’ status nationally.”
ECSU was also recently named by Washington Monthly as one of the “Best Bang for the Buck” institutions. The university has 28 undergraduate degree offerings and four graduate degree programs, flexible study options, and research opportunities.
